A group of crazy women who try to make life easier by cooking meals in advance, exchanging, and freezing them to make getting dinner on the table a little bit easier.
Calendar of Exchanges

How it works
Welcome to our freezer meal group. We meet once a month to exchange meals. We rotate hosting; the host sets the date and posts it to let us know. (Typically we do Tuesday nights @ 7:00pm but we are flexible.) Sometimes we also have cooking demos the host puts together.
All you have to do is RSVP to the host and then make your meals. The host will let you know how many meals to make. You pick a freezer recipe you like or that sounds good and multiply it to make however many are needed. Then we get together and swap. For example, if you came with 6 lasagnas you'll go home with 6 different meals. We try to post our recipes on the blog so feel free to use those, repeats are never a problem.
Guidelines:
~Stick mostely to main dishes.
~Make enough to serve 2 adults and 2-3 kids. If you family is bigger no problem just let the host know when you RSVP so they can accomodate in the count.
~Bring food in disposable tin (8x8 preferred) with heavy duty foil over the top or freezer bag (may want to double bag soups). Dollar store great place to get these.
~Budget is usually between $6-8/meal.
~Lots of helpful freezer info is posted in the early history of this blog so feel free to look.
We'd love for you to join us. If you have any questions contact the host for the month.
I am going to do a "healthy" version of Tator Tot Casserole for the January swap... using reduced fat cream soups and very lean meat. It is a kid friendly, crowd pleasing meal.
